AFFIN Group has been included in the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia (F4GBM) Index, highlighting its commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. This inclusion marks a significant step in AFFIN's ongoing efforts towards sustainable growth and responsible business practices.

The FTSE4Good Index, developed by FTSE Russell, is a globally recognised benchmark for companies excelling in ESG performance. AFFIN's inclusion reflects its commitment to sustainability, ethical business practices, and contributions to societal well-being.

President & Group CEO of Affin Bank Bhd Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah, expressed pride in the recognition, stating, "This milestone reflects our focus on embedding sustainability at the heart of our operations and strategic objectives." He highlighted that ESG performance is integral to the Group's long-term value creation and positive social impact.

As of the third quarter of 2024, AFFIN's Sustainable Financing accounted for 10.2% of its total loan portfolio, with a target of 25% by 2028. The Group's commitment to ESG is also evident through various initiatives, including:

• The installation of solar panels across 12 branches, increasing renewable energy generation by over 1,100%.
• Menara AFFIN @ TRX, powered by renewable energy, contributing to a reduction in operational emissions.
• A partnership with PCAF to measure financed emissions, aiming for Net Zero Carbon by 2050.
• The introduction of EV charging stations and a reverse vending machine for recyclable waste.

In addition, AFFIN's sponsorship of the Interceptor 002, an advanced waste management system, earned the Group the Life Below Water and Life on Land (Champion) Award at the ABM 50th Anniversary CSR Excellence Awards 2024.

AFFIN also received several prestigious awards, including the Green Building Award at the ESG Business Awards 2024, the NACGSA 2024 Excellence Award, and the Best Major Building Project Award for Menara AFFIN @ TRX at the MCIEA 2024.
