On March 17, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that from the evening of the 16th to 7 a.m. on the 17th local time, the Russian air defense system shot down a total of 72 Drones in multiple areas including Kursk, Astrakhan, and Oryol. According to the governor of Astrakhan on the 17th, the Ukrainian armed forces carried out a large-scale drone attack against multiple targets, including energy facilities in the region, injuring one person and causing a fire. The Ukrainian Air Force reported on the 17th that since the evening of the 16th, the Russian military has used 174 Drones to attack places like Kharkov, Sumy, and Kyiv, with varying degrees of damage to several buildings and facilities. The Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 90 of those Drones.
