Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. has hired Anu Gupta as chief strategy and transformation officer, the Union, N.J.-based retailer said Monday.
Ms. Gupta will work on modernizing the company's operating model with an emphasis on digital and omni-channel experiences, the company said. She will also expand the company's use of data and analytics, according to Bed Bath & Beyond.
Ms. Gupta was previously chief operating officer for JYVE Corp., a retail-technology platform. She has also served as a senior vice president for Target Corp. and has worked at Hellman & Freidman, The Michaels Cos. Inc. and Safeway Inc. She serves on the board of directors of H&R Block Inc.
She will report to Bed Bath & Beyond Chief Operating Officer John Hartmann.
