14:33 ET - AT&T's WarnerMedia named Johannes Larcher to head HBO Max International as it vies for international viewers for its latest streaming upstart. Larcher will first set his sights on launching HBO Max in Latin America, which is slated for 2021. Unlike its existing digital services, HBO Go and HBO Now, HBO Max will offer a much broader mix of content, including the "Harry Potter" movies and new releases that will live exclusively on the platform. HBO Max's ambitions may be tempered, however, as its rollout comes in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic --it launched on May 27 in the US--and amid increasing competition from rivals like Netflix and Disney.
