Asian ADRs Move Lower in Wednesday Trading

10:42 AM EDT, 07/07/2021 (MT Newswires) -- American depositary receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.8% lower at 2,085.82 on the S&P/BNY Mellon Asia 50 ADR Index on Wednesday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by personal finance company X Financial (XYF) and solar panel maker JinkoSolar Holding (JKS), which rose 18% and 8.3%, respectively. They were followed by polysilicon manufacturer Daqo New Energy (DQ) and wealth management firm Puyi Inc. (PUYI), which added 7.1% and 5.2%, respectively.

The decliners in North Asia were led by internet data center services provider 21Vianet Group Inc. (VNET), which fell 6.8% and travel company Tuniu Corp. (TOUR), which lost 5.7%. E-commerce fashion platform MOGU Inc. (MOGU) also declined 5.5% and online marketing technology firm iClick Interactive Asia Group Ltd. (ICLK) lost 4.9%.

In South Asia, the gainers were led by mining company Vedanta Ltd. (VEDL) and automaker Tata Motors (TTM), which rose 1.5% and 0.9%, respectively. Bank holding firm ICICI Bank Ltd. (IBN) also gained 0.7% and business process management services provider WNS Ltd. (WNS) added 0.5%.

Meanwhile, the decliners in South Asia were led by telecommunications operator PLDT Inc. (PHI) and IT firm Sify Technologies Ltd. (SIFY), which declined 2% and 1.7%, respectively. They were followed by digital entertainment company Sea Ltd. (SE) and biotech firm ASLAN Pharmaceuticals (ASLN), which retreated 1.1% and 0.5%, respectively.
