Singapore Deepens Economic Ties With Brabant, Netherlands

The partners will explore tech, energy, healthcare, and energy solutions.

The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Brabant Development Agency (BOM) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to boost economic relations between Singapore and Brabant, the Netherlands.

Under the partnership, EDB and BOM will work with companies and key partners in both locations to facilitate knowledge and policy exchanges, talent development initiatives, and joint research opportunities.

The partners will collaborate in key areas including deeptech, digital technologies, climate-neutral energy solutions, healthcare, and sustainable food systems.

EDB and BOM will also establish platforms with academia, industry, and investors to foster innovation and cross-border learning between Singapore and the Netherlands.

"Singapore and the Netherlands are celebrating 60 years of trade relations. This MOU strengthens this relationship and offers a unique perspective on a common development of futureproof and game-changing industries and technique[s]," Daan de Cloe, managing director of foreign investments and international trade at BOM, said.
