CLP HOLDINGS (00002.HK) has announced key progress in its mainland China Business, with two Wind Power projects connected to the grid and starting generation in January. These are a 150 MW wind farm located in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and CLP's fifth Wind Power project in Jiangsu Province—a 90 MW Photovoltaic Power Station in Yixing phase one.
Several other Wind Power projects of CLP in mainland China are also progressing steadily, including the ShanDong Jianzhen wind power project and the Guangxi Hepu and Jiangsu Yixing phase two Photovoltaic projects, which held their groundbreaking ceremonies at the end of last year and the beginning of this year respectively. Additionally, the 100 MW phase two wind farm in Guizhou Province has achieved phased results in January, with the first 6.25 MW Generator connected to the grid and starting generation. When the planned 16 Generators are all completed in the third quarter of this year, the project's total installed capacity will reach 199 MW.
Moreover, CLP's first independent energy storage project in mainland China will be completed in mid this year in ShanDong Guancun, providing supporting energy storage capacity for the simultaneously constructed Guancun wind power project. The Wind Power and energy storage can operate independently and participate in Electrical Utilities Trade, promoting CLP's continuous exploration of new Business models.
