Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lin Jian: The US side imposed a 10% tariff on Chinese goods on the grounds of the fentanyl issue. China is strongly dissatisfied and resolutely opposed to this. The measures taken by the Chinese side are necessary to protect its legitimate rights and interests. There is no winner in the trade war or tariff war, and threatening pressure will not work for China. China urges the US side to correct its erroneous practices, resolve each other's concerns through equal consultations, and promote the stable, healthy and sustainable development of Sino-US relations.
