GAC Aion and ZEEKR saw declines of over 50%.
On February 1, 2025, Lei Jun, founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi, took the lead in announcing the performance report for the first month of the new year: the delivery volume of Xiaomi SU7 has exceeded 20,000 units again, surpassing 20,000 units for four consecutive months. With this performance, Xiaomi Autos has climbed to third place in the monthly delivery ranking of new cars for the first time.
“The delivery target for the whole year of 2025 is 300,000 units. In the new year, we will continue to expand production capacity,” said Lei Jun.

After recording positive growth year-on-year in November and December last year, GAC Aion achieved a single-month sales record of 14,393 vehicles in January this year, a year-on-year decline of 42.31% and a nearly 70% decline month-on-month. According to the plan, the Aion UT Parrot Dragon will officially launch at the end of February; Deep Blue Autos, which stabilized in the second tier, delivered 24,575 vehicles in January and rose to second place in the "new autos" category; ZEEKR delivered 11,942 vehicles in January, a year-on-year decline of 4.75% and a month-on-month decline of 56.08%.
AVITA and Lantu Autos, which have been hovering at the threshold of the "ten thousand vehicles club," failed to achieve monthly deliveries of over ten thousand last month, with the two brands delivering 8,826 and 8,009 vehicles respectively. "In January, the market experienced a seasonal decline. Under the influence of the Spring Festival and the homecoming tide, customer flow and transactions decreased before the holiday, with some car purchase demand being released in advance in December, leading to a brief gap in the auto market. The guiding opinions on the 'dual-new' policy were published on January 8, and local vehicle replacement and updating policies started to release details in some provinces only in the latter half of the month. In the first half of January, consumers were hesitant, delaying their car purchase decisions." Looking ahead to February, the China Automobile Circulation Association is optimistic that, with the support of the "dual-new" policies, the automobile market is expected to continue warming in the first quarter of 2025, although factors such as the Spring Festival holiday and policy hesitation will still exert certain pressure on the current market.
