On January 9th, the Silicon Branch of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association released data showing that this week's silicon wafer prices expanded their increase. The average transaction price of N-type G10L Monocrystalline Silicon wafers increased to 1.18 yuan/piece, an increase of 7.27%; the average transaction price of N-type G12R Monocrystalline Silicon wafers rose to 1.3 yuan/piece, an increase of 7.69%; the average transaction price of N-type G12 Monocrystalline Silicon wafers reached 1.55 yuan/piece, a rise of 9.15%. The Silicon Branch believes that the main reason for this week's expanded silicon wafer price increase is the supply-demand imbalance. As of this week, with strong enthusiasm for downstream procurement, enterprises have obviously accelerated their supply rhythm, and the inventory turnover speed of silicon wafers has correspondingly accelerated.
InfoLink points out that there are many uncertainties in 2025. The self-regulation actions of the photovoltaic industry still need time to observe their execution capabilities. Current prices are already in a bottoming state. Under a sideways trend, subsequent strategy changes by companies will be highly correlated with price movements. Therefore, it is still necessary to actively follow up on strategy adjustments by both buyers and sellers, especially since pre-holiday stocking during the January Spring Festival may affect market trends.
