Funds provide thousands of young people with access to hands-on training in science, health, agriculture and civic engagement
BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tractor Supply Company (NASDAQ: TSCO), the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, in partnership with the National 4-H Council, announced today its 2024 winter Paper Clover campaign raised over $1.2 million for 4-H youth nationwide. Traditionally held in the fall, this Paper Clover campaign coincided with the holiday shopping season, beginning on Black Friday and extending through December 15. In total, the retailer's twice-a-year fundraiser brought in more than $2.6 million for 4-H in 2024.
"Out Here, the holiday season is about more than gifts—it's about gratitude and giving back," said John Ordus, chief stores officer at Tractor Supply and member of the National 4-H Council board of trustees. "Thanks to the generosity of our customers, we are delighted to provide an early Christmas gift to 4-H youth across the country. With these funds, even more young people can take advantage of the organization's positive learning experiences that are helping to build a generation of empowered, hard-working and compassionate individuals. Thank you to all those who contributed during this season of giving."
The biannual Paper Clover fundraiser invites customers to purchase a paper clover at checkout in Tractor Supply stores nationwide or online at TractorSupply.com. Ninety percent of all donations directly support 4-H youth in the state in which they were made, while the remaining 10% support national 4-H programming.
Heather Elliott, National 4-H Council's chief development and marketing officer said, "Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of Tractor Supply customers, the Paper Clover campaign achieved record-breaking donations this year. Our partnership enables 4-H youth across the country to gain essential career and life skills so they are beyond ready to lead with confidence, thrive in their communities and excel in their careers and life."
4‐H is America's largest youth development organization—empowering nearly six million young people with the skills to lead for a lifetime. Its programs are grounded in the belief that kids learn best by doing. Kids and teens complete hands-on projects in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. 4-H programs and resources are available online through CLOVER or through local in-person and virtual 4-H clubs, 4-H camps, in-school and after-school programs.
Tractor Supply began partnering with 4-H in 2010 to support the next generation of leaders across the U.S. Together, they have raised more than $24 million through the Paper Clover campaign, impacting more than 80,000 young people.
