The LNG carrier "ELISA ARDEA" (hereinafter referred to as "the vessel"), ordered by our affiliate France LNG Shipping SAS, was completed on December 3 at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries. This vessel will engage in LNG transportation for Electricité de France (EDF) for up to 20 years under a long-term charter agreement with EDF LNG Shipping SAS, managed by the French shipping management company Gazocean.
The main engine is equipped with a WinGD dual-fuel low-speed diesel engine that utilizes fuel oil and boil-off gas (natural gas that vaporizes during navigation), excelling in fuel consumption efficiency. Additionally, by adopting a membrane-type cargo tank with a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters, which has excellent thermal insulation properties, and an apparatus from Air Liquide that can re-liquefy surplus boil-off gas, efficient operation will be achieved.
