Institution for a Global Society <4265> announced on the 4th that it was adopted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology for the 'Reiwa 6 Fiscal Year Promotion of Utilization of Advanced Technology and Educational Data for Next-Generation Schools and Educational Settings (Demonstration Projects on Advanced Technology and Educational Data Utilization)'.
The company is developing a new model that utilizes data obtained from 'Ai GROW' which measures students' non-cognitive abilities and 'Mathematical Inquiry Assessment' which measures mathematical skills, automatically generating teaching plans for inquiry-based learning starting with 'comprehensive learning (inquiry)' for classes and grades using generative AI.
This demonstration project aims to reduce the burden on teachers and realize inquiry activities tailored to each student based on data on their non-cognitive abilities and mathematical skills. From October to November, the company conducted demonstration lessons targeting seven classes of first-year junior high school students at Hōsen Gakuen Juntendo University affiliated Mathematics and Science Junior and Senior High School. In these lessons, teaching plans created by generative AI based on 'Ai GROW' data were utilized, introducing new perspectives in lesson design and approaches, resulting in reports of increased student engagement and reduced preparation time for teachers.
The company will continue to expand activities that support inquiry-based learning to maximize students' potential and alleviate the burden on the educational field through the utilization of educational data and generative AI.
