According to the Zhidao Financial APP, Virscend Edu (01565) announced its performance for the year ended August 31, 2024, with revenue of approximately 0.955 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 25.3%; gross profit of approximately 0.313 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 24.2%; attributable net profit of 45.009 million yuan, a year-on-year growth of 39.5%; adjusted net profit of 69.913 million yuan, a year-on-year growth of 22.2%; basic and diluted earnings per share of 1.5 cents, recommending a final dividend of 0.25 Hong Kong cents per share and a special dividend of 0.50 Hong Kong cents per share.

The announcement stated that the increase in profits is mainly due to the increase in tuition fees, lodging fees, and cafeteria operating expenses in line with the increase in the number of students enrolled in the group; and the combined impact of the increase in fees for non-formal education services and overseas education consulting services.
