Malaysia-India HR Partnership To Build Up Digital Talent
Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd (TalentCorp) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with India's National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) International to deliver robust digital skilling solutions to produce future-ready Malaysian talent and advance mutually beneficial skill development initiatives for both Malaysia and India, according to a press release circulated by TalentCorp.

TalentCorp, a strategic agency under the Human Resources Ministry, will work with NSDC International to adapt Skill India Digital Hub to local needs, creating a digital platform for Malaysian talent with information on curriculum development, training design, content creation and certification best practices to boost youth employment in Malaysia, the ASEAN region and the world.

The digitalised platform will also be a knowledge sharing hub introducing verifiable digital credentials for Indian nationals working in Malaysia.

This MoU is a supplementary to the first agreement signed in March 2023 between TalentCorp and NSDC International, which led to the creation of TalentCorp's industry-driven MyMAHIR Future Skills Talent Councils (FSTC), enabling Malaysian industry leaders to identify evolving skill requirements in their sectors and spearhead the necessary training to ensure talent is equipped with both current and future competencies.

To date, six FSTCs have been established, covering sectors such as Electrical & Electronics (E&E), Information Computer Technology (ICT), Aerospace, Biopharma, Foodstuff, and Data Centre, with four more coming up within 2024.

The MoU exchange between TalentCorp group chief executive officer Thomas Mathew and NSDC International managing director and chief executive officer Ved Mani Tiwari took place at the NSDC headquarters, witnessed by Sim and India's Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Jayant Chaudhary.
