The company is engaging in co-creation with venture companies and others for the purpose of creating new business areas and exploring advanced technologies, and today, a capital investment agreement was signed with KOALA Tech, a venture company originating from Kyushu University.

KOALA Tech is a company that provides new solutions in the field of organic semiconductor devices. Its world-first technology that merges organic materials with lasers (Organic Semiconductor Laser [OSLD] (Note 1)) holds great potential in various markets, including smart glasses (Note 2). The company expects to utilize products and services with this technology in its electricity business, information communications business, and new businesses.

The company will continue to promote co-creation with university-led venture companies and contribute to solving various challenges faced by regions and society through the creation of new businesses and services, thereby supporting the revitalization and sustainable development of the Kyushu economy.

This technology combines the characteristics of organic electronics such as "flexibility", "low environmental impact", "low cost", and "high wavelength selectivity" with the "high color purity" and "high light directivity" of lasers.
