Forest Energy Corporation, Shizuoka Gas & Power Corporation, and Chubu Electric Power Company jointly invested in the Enshu Forest Energy LLC (hereinafter referred to as 'the operating company'), which has completed the construction work for the 'Enshu Forest Energy Power Plant' (hereinafter referred to as 'the power plant') and commenced commercial operation on November 16, 2024.
This power plant is a biomass power station utilizing 100% domestic wood, primarily utilizing unused thinning materials, pruned branches, etc., produced in Shizuoka prefecture, with a generation capacity of 7,100 kW.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the local community and all related parties for their understanding and cooperation during the construction of this power plant.
The three companies and the operating company will contribute to the maintenance of forests and revitalization of forestry in Shizuoka prefecture by utilizing local resources in a circulative manner through the operation of this power plant, and will also contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society.
