Rakuten Bank Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Rakuten Bank") and Rakuten Securities Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Rakuten Securities") would like to announce that the deposit balance of users of their account linkage service "Moneybridge" has exceeded 6 trillion yen.

Rakuten Bank and Rakuten Securities started providing the account linkage service "Moneybridge" in April 2011 for the purpose of enhancing the convenience of services related to individual asset formation and asset management. This service is available for free to anyone with both companies' accounts since April 2011, and once set up, features like automatic fund transfers between the two accounts, known as "sweep" function, can be utilized. Through the sweep function, it is possible to transfer funds from a securities account to a bank account without fees. Funds transferred to the "Rakuten Bank account" are eligible for preferential deposit interest rates of up to 1.8 times the normal deposit interest rate of Rakuten Bank. We have achieved the milestone of 6 trillion yen in deposits for "Moneybridge" by receiving positive feedback on this seamless trading environment and attractive customer benefits.
Both companies have been expanding their collaborative services utilizing the Rakuten ecosystem. Rakuten Bank surpassed 16 million accounts in July 2024, and Rakuten Securities, in April 2024, exceeded 11 million accounts, making it the highest in the total number of accounts among domestic securities companies (based on disclosed information). The services of both companies, as online transaction-conclusive financial institutions, can be accessed anytime from anywhere. Due to their high level of convenience, they are continuously used by many customers.
Rakuten Bank and Rakuten Securities will continue to provide high-value-added services that were previously unavailable in traditional internet banking and internet securities by leveraging the strengths of the Rakuten Group's collaboration to a broader customer base.

If you have accounts with both companies, you can apply for free. Once set up, the sweep function allows for automatic fund transfers between both accounts, eliminating the need for you to make deposits and withdrawals yourself, making seamless trading more possible than ever before.
- Automatic deposit of funds from Rakuten Bank's deposit balance when there is insufficient funds during trading at Rakuten Securities.
- Automatic withdrawal of funds from Rakuten Securities account to Rakuten Bank every business day at night.
The withdrawn funds are automatically deposited into a regular savings account where preferential interest rates apply.
