China Academy of Information and Communications Technology released data showing that in September 2024, the mainland market's mobile phone shipments were 25.371 million units, a 23.8% year-on-year decrease. Among them, 5G mobile phones were 22.316 million units, a 22.3% year-on-year decrease, accounting for 88% of the total mobile phone shipments during the same period.

In September 2024, the shipment volume of domestic brand mobile phones was 20.359 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 18.4%, accounting for 80.2% of the total mobile phone shipments during the same period. In September 2024, the shipment volume of smart phones was 23.717 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 25.7%, accounting for 93.5% of the total mobile phone shipments during the same period; 18 new models of smart phones were launched, a 43.8% year-on-year decrease, accounting for 51.4% of the total number of new phone models launched during the same period.
