On October 31, we announced the "Progress Report 2024 as an annex to the NYK Group Decarbonization Story" (hereinafter referred to as "Progress Report 2024"), summarizing the progress of our group's decarbonization strategy "NYK Group Decarbonization Story" (hereinafter referred to as "NDS") disclosed last November.

In Progress Report 2024, we have divided the progress of approximately one year since announcing the NDS into the following chapters, explaining specific initiatives with numbers.

The decarbonization of logistics, which is the foundation of many industries, is essential for achieving carbon neutrality in many industries. At the same time, reducing GHG emissions is one of the particularly challenging areas. Our group announced NDS in November 2023, setting ambitious targets of a 45% reduction in GHG emissions from Scope 1+2 by 2030 compared to 2021, and achieving net zero by 2050. We are working towards achieving these targets. The Progress Report 2024 is created with the goal of introducing our group's efforts and co-creation examples towards decarbonization, showcasing progress, and deepening interest and understanding about the possibility of achieving the goals.
Our group will continue to accelerate the decarbonization cycle of society, create a virtuous cycle towards a sustainable future, and aim to realize a carbon-neutral world.
