(referred to as "CTI Centre Testing" with stock code 300012) successfully signed an investment agreement to acquire a 70% stake in Jiangsu Honghai Vehicle Testing Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Changzhou Honghai") in order to strategically position CTI Centre Testing in the field of electric bicycle testing.
Changzhou Honghai was established in 2016, formerly known as the Bicycle Quality Supervision and Inspection Station of the State Light Industry Bureau (established in June 1998). Changzhou Honghai focuses on electric bicycles, bicycles, and parts testing business, obtained the qualification of designated laboratory for electric bicycle CCC certification in 2020, and continues to expand its testing capabilities.
In recent years, there have been frequent safety accidents involving electric bicycles, prompting the strict strengthening of the enforcement and control of the new national standards for electric bicycles, light electric motorcycles, and other two-wheeled vehicles by the country. Related testing institutions' capabilities will become an important force in leading the healthy development of the electric bicycle market. Simultaneously, with the increasing global attention to electric travel methods, the demand and sales of electric two-wheeled bicycles are continuously growing. This trend is driven by multiple factors, including the increasing awareness of environmental protection, worsening urban traffic congestion, and the growing demand for smart travel solutions.
