The China Cybersecurity Association stated that cybersecurity issues at intel occur frequently. It is recommended to initiate a cybersecurity review of Intel's products sold in China to effectively safeguard China's national security and the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese consumers.

In August 2023, intel CPUs were exposed to the Downfall vulnerability, a type of CPU transient execution side-channel vulnerability, that exploits the Gather instruction in the AVX2 or AVX-512 instruction set to retrieve sensitive data such as keys, user information, and critical parameters from a specific vector register buffer. In addition, Intel also covertly sets backdoors that endanger network and information security. It is recommended to initiate a cybersecurity review of Intel's products sold in China to effectively safeguard China's national security and the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese consumers.

According to the statistics of the China Cybersecurity Industry Alliance, in the first half of 2023, there were a total of 3,984 domestic enterprises engaged in cybersecurity business, a year-on-year growth of 22.4%. In 2022, China's cybersecurity market size was approximately 63.3 billion yuan, with a potential to exceed 80 billion yuan by 2025. Sinolink's research reports point out the importance of medium- to long-term investment opportunities in the cybersecurity sector. Cybersecurity sector stocks have been adjusting continuously for three years. Companies related to cybersecurity transitioned from upfront investments in 2019-2020 to continuous personnel optimization in 2021-2023, culminating in the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan in 2024-2025. The sector currently combines cost-effectiveness with a turnaround logic for a challenging situation.
