The first store of Chatime opened in Hong Kong, with popular drinks like Yangzhi Ganlu fresh fruit tea.
On October 11th, Chatime's first store in Hong Kong officially opened. Although it was the first time to enter the Hong Kong market, Chatime attracted many passersby to come here for check-ins during the initial store construction. On the opening day, consumers lined up early, with an average waiting time of 2 hours and full of enthusiasm for consumption. Chatime's tea tasting ambassador, Bosco Wong, appeared on the scene, recommending the classic Chatime drink, Mango Pomelo Sago, to consumers, which heightened the atmosphere on the spot.
When I used to travel to Chengdu, I would drink Yangzhi Ganlu from Chatime every day. Even after returning to Hong Kong, I often reminisce, and now I can also have it in Hong Kong. A local customer from Hong Kong expressed at the scene. Yangzhi Ganlu is a classic Hong Kong-style dessert, and Chatime created a new way to drink Yangzhi Ganlu, transforming the dessert into a beverage, from bowl to cup, expanding the consumption scenarios and customer base for this category. In 2023 alone, nearly a billion cups of this product were sold. During the trial operation phase, Yangzhi Ganlu also became a super popular item at Chatime's Hong Kong store.
The first Chatime store in Hong Kong is located on the famous Sai Yeung Choi Street South in Mong Kok, Hong Kong. The towering advertising lightboxes, tall and short commercial buildings, and residential towers give this street a unique Hong Kong-style scenery, making it the first choice for out-of-town tourists at Mong Kok's city walk. Having a street-front store in this location shows the determination and strength of Chatime when expanding into the Hong Kong market.
In addition to holding prime locations, as a company listed in Hong Kong, Chatime already has a certain level of popularity in Hong Kong. At the initial stage of store construction, passers-by frequently came to take pictures in front of the barricades adorned with panda patterns. The 'message wall' specially set up for fans had messages like 'Prosperous Business,' 'All the best,' 'Getting better and better,' and signatures from fans from all over the world, showcasing the attention and expectations for Chatime.
Chatime was founded in Chengdu in 2008, and by the end of June this year, the number of Chatime stores has exceeded 8,000 (8,385), and has entered markets in South Korea, Thailand, Australia, and other countries.
