A consortium led by property developer LBS Bina Group Bhd (LBS Bina) has awarded a RM104 million contract to clean energy specialist Solarvest Holdings Bhd (Solarvest) to construct a 43 mega watts (MWp) solar farm in Negeri Sembilan. The project, part of LBS Bina's entry into the renewable energy sector under Malaysia's Corporate Green Power Programme, was announced during the International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition, witnessed by Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister, Datuk Sri Haji Fadillah Yusof.

The solar farm, expected to be completed by the end of 2025, will generate 53,000 MWh of clean energy annually, offsetting 35,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. Additionally, it will contribute 53,000 Renewable Energy Certificates, helping corporate consumers meet sustainability goals.

The project marks a strategic move by LBS Bina to integrate sustainability into its business, creating new revenue streams while supporting environmental targets. The solar farm is owned by a consortium that includes LBS Bina subsidiary Setara Armada. Solarvest's expertise in delivering complex solar projects was highlighted by both companies as key to the success of the initiative.
