KMJ listeners responded to the one-day broadcast with generous donations to help their less fortunate neighbors, raising over $200,000 in a single day. Gar Bennett matched every donation with 50 cents on the dollar, for a grand total of $493,000 going to the Central California Food Bank. Co-Sponsor Farm Credit also pitched in with a large donation to the cause.
