Yamaha Motor Sales Co., Ltd. will release the “YZF-R1 Race Base Car (2025 model),” a model dedicated to road racing competitions and circuit driving, on 2025/2/28 with made-to-order production for a limited time.
The current “YZF-R1 race base car” is a model that takes circuit applications such as racing into consideration, based on the 2025 model super sport “YZF-R1” (European specification). The main changes from the previous model are 1) winglets that contribute to car body stability, 2) KYB's new front suspension (new mechanism with base valves added, left and right independent compressive damping force), 3) Brembo front brakes with enhanced control feeling (monoblock caliper “Stylema (R) *” and radial master cylinder), and 4) improved grip and holdability Seat skin is used. Cornering and aerodynamics have been further refined, and updates have been made so that technology directly related to MotoGP machines can be felt.
It is made-to-order with limited-time reservations for the 1st 2024/9/25 (Wed) to 10/9 (Wed) and the 2nd 2024/10/10 (Thu) to 11/29 (Fri), and reservation desks are “Yamaha Onroad Competition Model Authorized Dealers” nationwide.

※ It will be shipped with the headlamp, position lamp, taillight, mud guard, horn, tandem seat, tandem step, rear fender, mirror, flasher, in-vehicle tools, and graphics removed.
* Purchase benefits: The “wire harness set” and “ECU” (including F.I. matching software), which are parts dedicated to circuit driving, are shipped separately from the vehicle itself.
* You can select from 2 types of “ECU”. Please select “SBK” for JSB/EWC or “SST” for ST1000/SST when ordering a vehicle.
* Since the “YZF-R1 Race Base Car” has not been certified by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, it is not possible to obtain a license plate. Also, I can't drive on the road. Driving on a road is a violation of the Road Traffic Act and the Road Transport Vehicle Act. Places where people and cars can freely enter and exit are regarded as roads, even in places where the road shape is not prepared, such as private roads, within the precincts of temples and shrines, seaside, on embankments, farm roads, forest roads, etc.
