Our company, in collaboration with Tsuji Culinary Institute (Headquarters: Osaka, Chairman: Yoshiki Tsuji), will officially launch the +Recipe Project aiming to solve social issues through food. As the first phase of this project, we have developed authentic dishes with long-term preservation using canned goods and retort pouches. What is the +Recipe Project

In recent years, the environment surrounding food has undergone significant changes, leading to various social issues becoming prominent. These include the aging of agricultural workers and the shortage of successors, a decrease in food self-sufficiency, the food loss issue involving food residue and unused ingredients at each stage of the supply chain, and ensuring a nutritionally balanced diet in times of disasters. The social issues related to food are diverse.
Against this backdrop, Toyo Seikan Group, a comprehensive packaging container manufacturer that has been innovating in container technology for over 100 years, and Tsuji Culinary Institute, which has cultivated talents contributing to the development of food culture for over 60 years, have launched the +Recipe Project in 2021 with the aim of innovating the future of food and contributing to the realization of a sustainable society. Since then, they have been promoting various initiatives that combine packaging containers and cooking expertise, focusing on research to replicate restaurant-quality taste with retort products and utilizing retort-processed items as semi-finished products for cooking.
