J.P. Morgan Chase is restructuring the senior management team of its technology and healthcare investment banking business, introducing new leaders in these two key areas.
The Zhitong Finance App learned that J.P. Morgan Chase (JPM.US) is restructuring its senior management team in technology and healthcare investment banking business to promote new leaders in these two key areas. According to an internal memorandum seen by Bloomberg News, the New York-based bank has appointed Pankaj Goel, Madhu Namburi, and Drago Rajkovic as global chairs of the Technology Investment Bank, while Mike Gaito will serve as the global chairman of healthcare.
This personnel change highlights the determination of J.P. Morgan Chase — the bank with the largest assets in the US — to maintain the vitality and competitiveness of its senior talent team in the two historically active sectors of healthcare and technology.
In the memorandum, Doug Petno and Filippo Gori, co-heads of global banking said, “These four new leaders have extensive experience within the company and have played a key role in the growth of our investment banking business. Our customers and colleagues will benefit greatly from their extensive network, strategic insight, and market expertise.”
All four new presidents will report directly to Petno and Gori.
Goel previously served as co-head of the North American Technology Investment Bank, Namburi was the Global Head of Technology, and Rajkovic recently served as Vice Chairman. Gaito was previously the global head of a healthcare investment bank.
In another memorandum, J.P. Morgan announced that Ben Carpenter and Jeremy Meilman have been appointed as global co-heads of healthcare investment banking, while Chris Grose and Greg Mendelson have been appointed as global co-heads of technology investment banking. They will report to Jay Horine and Dorothee Blessing, global co-heads of investment banking.
Carpenter will continue to serve as co-head of the North American M&A business.
A representative from J.P. Morgan Chase has confirmed the veracity of the contents of these memos.
