Zhefu Holding Group (002266.SZ) accepted a specific object investigation on September 19, 2024, and was asked to introduce the future outlook of pumped storage energy. The company stated that the installed capacity of pumped storage energy is expected to maintain steady growth: the estimated annual production scale of pumped storage energy in 2024 is around 6 million kW; by the end of 2024, the total installed capacity will reach 57 million kW. In terms of technology, the application scenarios of variable-speed pumped storage energy units are more extensive; in response to the characteristics of low air density and low environmental temperature in high-altitude areas in western China, key technology research on large-capacity pumped storage energy units under the environment of 4000 meters above sea level needs to be carried out.
