On September 19th, at the Yunqi Conference, Alibaba Cloud CTO Zhou Jingren announced the release of the Qwen2.5, a new generation open-source model. Among them, the flagship model Qwen2.5-72B outperforms the Llama 405B, reclaiming the global open-source large model throne. Qwen2.5 covers multiple sizes of large language models, multimodal models, mathematical models, and code models. Each size has a basic version, an instruction-following version, and a quantized version, with a total of over 100 models available, setting a new industry record. As of mid-September 2024, the cumulative download volume of the Qwen2.5 open-source model has exceeded 40 million, making it the world's second-largest model group after Llama.
