According to reports from the hotel industry, hotel reservations in Macau were fully booked during the golden week from October 1st to 7th.

All 12 hotels, including Wynn Macau, Lisboa, and JW Marriott, have been fully booked during this period.

Other hotels such as MGM, Morpheus, Wynn Palace, and Venetian Macao are also close to full capacity.

According to data from the Statistics and Census Service of Macau on September 13th, 2023, the number of operating hotels and economy lodging establishments increased by 12 to 145, with a 27.8% increase in staff to 45,704.

With a significant increase in the number of guests, the occupancy rate of hotel rooms has also increased, driving industry revenue to increase by 1.4 times to 37.93 billion yuan (Macau dollars). Expenditure (excluding depreciation and interest payments) has also increased by 41.1% to 29.84 billion yuan. The hotel industry turned a profit in 2023, recording a profit of 8.18 billion yuan.

The total value added of the industry's contribution to the economy increased by 3 times to 20.35 billion yuan.

The Macao Statistics and Census Bureau released a survey on the gambling industry in 2023.

According to the data from the Macao Statistics and Census Bureau, there are 9 enterprises engaged in gambling activities in 2023, including 6 enterprises with approved lucky gambling licenses and 3 enterprises operating mutual gambling and lottery activities. The tourism industry has been a driving force for the growth of the gambling industry, and industry revenue and expenses have correspondingly increased.

The industry's total revenue in 2023 increased by 3.1 times to 188.52 billion Macao patacas year-on-year; among which, revenue from lucky gambling increased by 3.4 times to 183.6 billion Macao patacas, recovering to 63% of the level in 2019.

CICC released a research report stating that due to the increase in visitor volume during the summer or the continuous supply of new properties, Macao's total gambling revenue in August increased by 14.8% year-on-year to 19.8 billion Macao patacas, in line with expectations. The bank predicts that Macao's total gambling revenue in September is expected to reach 173-188 billion Macao patacas, corresponding to a daily gambling revenue of between 5.75-6.25 billion Macao patacas.
