Rakuten Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Rakuten") has officially started providing a new function called "Save and Earn Mode" (hereinafter referred to as "this function"), where users can automatically earn interest on their Rakuten Points without the trouble of adding points themselves, in the "Rakuten Point Club" where you can check the usage of Rakuten Points (Note 1).

This function is available to Rakuten members who hold regular Rakuten Points. Users can increase their points at an annual interest rate of 0.108% by automatically adding all their regular points to "interest plus points" when they turn on the mode setting for this function on the top screen of the Rakuten Point Club app or website (Note 2). Not only can users steadily increase their accumulated Rakuten Points, but they can also withdraw and use them anytime they like.

Since June 2024, this function has been in trial operation on the "Rakuten Point Club" website's "Rakuten Points Interest" page, and recently, it has been redeveloped to allow mode setting with one tap on the top screen of the Rakuten Point Club app, and officially started full service.

Furthermore, a campaign exclusively for users who use this function will be held. In commemoration of the official launch of this function, the "Save and Earn Mode ON Win up to 0.1 million points! Save and Earn Gacha" campaign will be held until October 31 (Thursday) 23:59. Depending on the balance of the "interest plus points," participants can win up to 100,000 Rakuten Points (Note 3).

Rakuten will continue to strive for the provision of an environment where users can have a more convenient, cost-effective, and enjoyable consumer experience, aiming for new value creation through the "Rakuten Point" and the "Rakuten Ecosystem" (economic sphere).

(Note 1) Regular points are eligible.
(Note 2) Interest is awarded per point. Fractions are carried over to the next month and awarded as soon as it becomes 1 point or more.
(Note 3) The points awarded are limited-time points.

"Rakuten Point" is Rakuten's point program with a cumulative issuance of over 4.2 trillion points (as of June 2024). Accumulated "Rakuten Points" can be used at various Rakuten Group online services including "Rakuten Market" and "Rakuten Travel", as well as at over 6 million locations such as convenience stores, supermarkets, drugstores, and restaurants in the city.
