MODENAS Rebrands With Fresh Logo As It Targets International Markets
Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (MODENAS), a subsidiary of DRB-HICOM Bhd, unveiled a new logo and brand identity today, signalling a strategic shift as the company seeks to strengthen its global footprint. The launch event, which took place at JioSpace in Petaling Jaya, introduced a modern design for the iconic "M" symbol, featuring fresh grey and platinum colour variants alongside the traditional blue and white.

Speaking at the event, Tan Sri Syed Faisal Albar, group managing director of DRB-HICOM Bhd and chairman of MODENAS Malaysia, emphasised that while MODENAS has established a strong foundation in Malaysia, the company is now focusing on expanding its presence internationally. He noted that MODENAS has already started exporting to China, Thailand, and the Middle East. Additionally, the company's plant in Gurun, Kedah, received approval last year from the China Quality Certification Center, enabling the Kawasaki ZX-6R sports bike to be distributed throughout China.

Syed Faisal highlighted that the rebranding represents more than just a logo change, but rather, a reflection of MODENAS' evolution and progress. "The new logo embodies our DNA with a contemporary design that signifies renewed energy and the values of confidence, trust, loyalty, and intelligence," he explained. He also mentioned that the company is preparing to enter additional international markets and believes this positive momentum makes it the ideal time to refresh the MODENAS brand.

Alongside the rebranding, MODENAS introduced an upgraded version of its MODENAS KRISS 110, now compliant with Euro 4 emissions standards. Group chief executive officer Roslan Roskan highlighted that the updated model generates cleaner emissions, contributing to improved air quality and supporting global efforts to combat climate change. "Looking ahead, we plan to launch more Euro 4-compliant models and electric motorcycles, reinforcing our commitment to providing safer, more robust, and environmentally friendly transportation options both in Malaysia and on the international stage," Roslan added.
