On August 27, Founder Holding (00418.HK) announced that the group's turnover for the six months ended June 30, 2024 increased slightly by 3.2% to approximately 0.385 billion Hong Kong dollars. The attributable comprehensive loss of the parent company was approximately 4.4 million Hong Kong dollars (6 months ended June 30, 2023: 26.9 million Hong Kong dollars) without audit. The basic and diluted loss per share attributable to the parent company's equity holders was 0.4 Hong Kong cents (6 months ended June 30, 2023: 2.2 Hong Kong cents).

The decrease in the loss attributable to the parent company's equity holders for the six months ended June 30, 2024 was mainly due to the net decrease of approximately 10.0% to about 0.202 billion Hong Kong dollars in total sales and distribution expenses, administrative expenses, and other expenses. The reasons are as follows: a. One-time income from the reversal of impairment provision of the entrusted loan from Peking University Founder Group Company Limited; b. The reduction in the number of employees resulted in a decrease in employee expenses; and c. The fluctuation range of the RMB to Hong Kong dollar exchange rate for the six months ended June 30, 2024 was smaller compared to the same period last year, leading to a decrease in forex losses.
