Maruyun <9067> announced its consolidated financial results for the first quarter of the 2025 fiscal year (April-June 24th). Operating revenue increased by 2.9% compared to the same period last year to 11.307 billion yen, operating profit increased by 136.0% to 0.243 billion yen, ordinary profit increased by 91.5% to 0.292 billion yen, and net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company increased by 89.7% to 0.187 billion yen for the quarter.

Revenue from cargo transportation remained the same as the previous period at 5.619 billion yen, with ordinary profit of 0.13 billion yen, an increase of 0.054 billion yen compared to the same period last year. Although there were factors such as a decrease in handling automobile aluminum material transportation and logistics processing businesses, due to fare and fee revisions and increased handling in transportation, the balance of payments improved, resulting in decreased revenue but increased profits.

Operating revenue for energy transportation increased by 5.1% compared to the same period last year to 3.782 billion yen, and ordinary profit increased by 0.041 billion yen to 0.062 billion yen. Despite wage revisions for drivers and increased freight payments for affiliate companies, increased revenue and profits resulted from increased operating revenue due to fare revisions by major customers.

Operating revenue for overseas logistics increased by 11.6% to 1.422 billion yen, and ordinary loss increased by 0.016 billion yen to 0.001 billion yen. In overseas business, a decrease in transportation volume of major customers due to poor sales of Japanese and European auto manufacturers in China resulted in decreased revenue. However, increased revenue and profits were achieved due to increases in export volume as a result of rising international shipping rates and semiconductor demand recovery, as well as fare revisions.

The operating revenue for Techno Support increased by 8.4% to 0.475 billion yen, and ordinary profit increased by 0.023 billion yen to 0.03 billion yen. Although there was a decrease in revenue in the oil storage-related business due to revisions in business commission fees, there was an increase revenue and profits in the oil refinery-related business due to revisions in contracted fees for on-site and greening work, as well as an increase in handling volume for distribution business.

For the full year ending March 2025, Maruyun plans to maintain its initial plan of operating revenue of 45.8 billion yen, 0.84 billion yen operating profit, 0.94 billion yen ordinary profit, and 0.57 billion yen net income attributable to shareholders of the parent company, an increase of 1.8%, 64.9%, 33.4%, and 36.9%, respectively, compared to the previous year.
