According to reports, in July, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) conducted on-site inspections of the domestically-produced large aircraft C919 in Shanghai and gave “positive feedback”. China’s relevant civil aviation institutions are more optimistic about C919 passenger plane obtaining EU certification in 2025. During the July visit, EASA not only operated and evaluated the flight simulator, but also inspected the cockpit and cabin of the C919 passenger plane for the second time. This is the third step in the four-step EASA airworthiness compliance verification, and C919 may also undergo test flights later this year or early next year. Since entering commercial operation in May 2023, 7 C919 passenger planes have carried over 0.3 million passengers on 5 domestic routes.

The successful research and development and operation of C919 not only represents a leap forward in China's aviation manufacturing industry, but also demonstrates the comprehensive upgrading of the big plane industry chain.
