MoneyHero (MNY.US), a financial information comparison platform headquartered in Singapore, announced the layoffs of 80 employees to save costs and restructure their strategy. MoneyHero's business includes Singaporean personal finance platforms Seedly and SingSaver. CEO Rohith Murthy emphasized in a letter to employees that the decision to lay off was unfortunate but necessary, and did not involve individual performance. He also reiterated that the company maintains growth under a strong market position and financial performance and intends to focus on technology investments, including AI and automation, to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
The company underwent two rounds of layoffs in 2022 and went public on Nasdaq in October 2023. The locations of affected employees have not been disclosed.
