The Macau Tourism Bureau announced that the average room rate for all hotels in Macau in the first half of the year increased by 11.1% to MOP 1,402.8 per room year-on-year. Among them, the average room rate of five-star hotels was MOP 1,582.4, which increased by 12.4% year-on-year. In the first half of the year, the average occupancy rate of Macau hotels was 89.6%, an increase of 8.6 percentage points year-on-year; among them, the occupancy rate of three-star hotels reached the highest at 93.4%.
In June alone, the average room rate of all hotels in Macau increased by 1.9% year-on-year to MOP 1,351.5, of which the average room rate of five-star hotels increased by 3.6% to MOP 1,557 year-on-year; the average room rate of four-star hotels decreased by 4.8% to MOP 880.6 year-on-year; and the average room rate of three-star hotels also decreased by 3.7% to MOP 914.3. The occupancy rate of Macau hotels in June reached 90.1%, among which the occupancy rate of three-star hotels was the highest, recording 94.1%.
