NCN ＜7057＞ commercializes advanced structural calculations to ensure earthquake resistance of wooden buildings, and in order to realize structurally calculated wooden buildings with high earthquake resistance, provides SE construction methods, which are the company's own construction system incorporating ramen construction methods that were mainstream in steel structures and RC structures, into wooden houses through an SE construction law registered construction shop network centered on construction companies. In addition to structural design and stable supply of materials, we provide a one-stop service that solves issues faced by construction companies and design offices, from confirming the insulation performance of wooden houses to arranging guarantees and insurance. The company group is an enterprise group centered around the company that combines wooden structure design, technology fields by MAKE HOUSE and Suiho, asset fields by SE Mortgage Service Co., Ltd., and lifestyle fields based on MUJI HOUSE, YADOKARI Co., Ltd., Ichinomiya Realize Co., Ltd., and N&S development.

In the technology field, shares of MAKE HOUSE were acquired from a joint venture company and made it a wholly owned subsidiary, further strengthening the BIM*1 business for the wooden construction industry. Since the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism began applying BIM principles to all public works (excluding small-scale construction) in 2023/4, BIM support for design offices and small to medium general contractors that handle non-residential properties is being strengthened. Furthermore, the business area in the large-scale wooden construction (non-residential) field is steadily expanding due to the large-scale laminated lumber*2 processing, special processing of timber, and the establishment of a consolidated subsidiary of Suiho, which has strengths in the construction capabilities of large-scale wooden structures. In 2023/5, a structural assessment was obtained from the Japan Construction Center for compatibility with 5-story wooden buildings according to the SE construction method. Utilizing the company's research facility “Timber Structure Lab (Timber Structure Lab.)”, specifications compatible with 5-story wooden buildings, which were difficult with conventional specifications, were added.

*1 Abbreviation for Building Information Modeling. A solution that reproduces a three-dimensional model of a building on a computer and utilizes it for building construction. Since attribute information from design to construction and maintenance has been added, information necessary for each drawing can be utilized.

*2 Laminated wood: A wood material made by reconstructing the board with an adhesive.

In the lifestyle field, a capital and business alliance agreement was concluded in 2019/12 with YADOKARI, which handles research and media management of new lifestyles around the world, planning/development of idle land and temporary land by utilizing huts and movable property, and community development support. In 2016/8, in order to promote regional revitalization, Ichinomiya Realize was established as a town development company with investment from Ichinomiya-cho, Chosei-gun, Chiba Prefecture and private companies such as the company. In 2022/4, N&S Development was established in collaboration with Sanu Co., Ltd., which develops the subscription service “SANU 2nd Home (Sanu Second Home).” By providing lodging buildings using the SE construction method to “SANU 2nd Home” developed by Sanu, we aim to promote the spread of wooden buildings aimed at realizing a decarbonized society. In 2024/4, a new product “SANU Apartment (lodging building set up in Umi SANU)” with the SE construction method specified was completed in Ichinomiya-cho, Chiba prefecture, and business began in 2024/4.

The company was established in 1996 with the aim of popularizing safe and secure wooden structures in Japan and creating a system to provide housing with asset value. Houses were devastated by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake that occurred in 1995, when Mr. Ikuo Taguri (Takusari Ikuo), the current president and representative director, was active as a trading company man at Nissho Iwai Co., Ltd. (now Sojitz ＜2768＞). What Mr. Taguri learned there was the fact that structural calculations were not performed in wooden houses, which occupy most of the houses. It's not “weak because it's wooden,” and the structure was not designed in the first place.

Based on this experience, NCN Co., Ltd. was established in 1996 as a joint venture between Seven Industries (7896) and Nissho Iwai. At that time, we asked for cooperation from Mr. Banshigeru (Banshigeru), a structural engineer who worked on the Nagano Olympic Memorial Arena, and developed an SE construction method that applied know-how from large buildings to general houses, and innovated wooden construction technology. The company's unique system for wooden construction, which has overwhelming strength, has been the company's strength until now. The SE construction method has become intellectual property that cannot be matched by other companies due to the accumulation of construction and construction experience so far, and there are many major house manufacturers that request OEM supply. Note, “New Constructor's Network = Network of New Construction Companies” is the origin of the company name, and it indicates that the company will take the core and confront existing issues surrounding wooden houses (practices that do not perform structural calculations, weakness where asset value falls rapidly) together with construction companies, builders, house makers, etc.
