In order to bring FSD to China, Tesla has been localizing its operations in the country. Multiple clues indicate that FSD will soon enter the Chinese market.
On July 5th, Cailian Press (Reporter Tang Zhixiao) reported that Tesla was included in the government procurement catalog of Jiangsu Province, marking the first time Tesla has entered the government procurement catalog.
According to the "Framework Agreement for the Purchase of New Energy Vehicles by Party and Government Organs, Institutions and Group Organizations in Jiangsu Province in 2024-2025 (Part III)" disclosed on the Jiangsu Government Procurement Network, the rear-wheel drive version of the Tesla Model Y has been included in the Jiangsu Province government's new energy vehicle procurement catalog.
At the same time, Tesla has also become the supplier of vehicles for several state-owned enterprises in Shanghai Lingang New Area, including Shanghai Chengtou Xinggang Investment Construction (Group) Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Lingang New Area Investment Holdings (Group) Co., Ltd., all of which have purchased a batch of Tesla Model Y vehicles for enterprise use.
Cailian Press reporters visited Tesla's offline stores in Shenzhen.
"FSD has matured and operated in North America, but it has not been introduced to China yet. If everything goes fast, it can be experienced at the end of the year, and the specific time still needs to be officially announced," the salesperson of the store said.

"Maybe in the second half of this year, and we still need to wait for the official announcement," said the staff at the booth to Cailian Press reporters.
At present, in order to solve a series of problems such as landing FSD in China, Tesla has made a lot of preparations.
Previously, in 2021, Tesla built a data center in Shanghai, which realizes localized storage of data, and introduces third-party authoritative institutions to conduct an audit on the company's information security management system and passes the security management system certification (ISO27001).
The list of vehicle models that comply with the four safety requirements for processing automotive data published by the State Administration for Market Regulation shows that both Tesla's domestic Model 3 and Model Y comply with the requirements for automotive data security compliance.
On July 2, Tesla released its second-quarter production and delivery report, showing that in the quarter ending on June 30th, the production volume was 0.411 million vehicles, the delivery volume was 0.444 million vehicles, a 15% increase compared to the previous quarter, and the delivery volume of Model 3/Y was 0.4224 million vehicles.
