On July 3, Guo Lian Hui reported that the union representing Alaska Airlines employees said that according to the latest provisional labor agreement signed with the airline for three years, the average salary of flight attendants will increase by 32%. The union said on Tuesday that the agreement has not yet been approved by members of the flight attendants association; this contract is the first agreement with legal binding force for flight attendants who join the union to include boarding fees. American flight attendants usually begin to be paid on time after the cabin door is closed and do not include the time when passengers board. The union said that after the inclusion of boarding fees, we achieved a significant salary increase. In February of this year, Alaska Airlines flight attendants authorized a strike for the first time in 30 years. The temporary labor agreement avoided a potential strike, including improving holiday and overtime pay, as well as benefits such as 20 months of retroactive pay. The approval vote for the agreement will be held later this month and will end on August 14th.
