On June 28 local time, a statement from Berkshire Hathaway showed that Buffett will donate approximately $5.3 billion worth of Berkshire Hathaway Class B stock to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and four family charitable organizations. This is the largest annual donation he has made since he began donating in 2006. In terms of product structure, the operating income of products worth 10-30 billion yuan is 401/1288/60 million yuan, respectively.

In addition, on June 28 local time, the Wall Street Journal published an interview with "stock god" and famous American investor Warren Buffett. In the interview, Buffett explicitly stated that after his death, no funds will flow directly to the Gates Foundation. At the same time, this large fortune will be managed by his children, for the newly established charitable foundation, focusing on charity work.

Buffett mentioned that while he had promised to donate 5% of his Berkshire Hathaway shares to the Gates Foundation annually until his death, his children will not continue this practice.

According to statistics from the Gates Foundation, from 2006 to 2023, Buffett has donated $39.3 billion to the foundation. On Friday, he also announced donations of billions of dollars to the Gates Foundation and other charities.

Regarding this testamentary decision, Buffett revealed that it was not an impulsive decision and that he had made multiple revisions to his will. After seeing his children mature, he formulated his current plan. In addition, he did not specify a specific direction for his children's charitable efforts.

He said in the interview: 'This money should be used to help those who are not as lucky as we are. There are 8 billion people in the world, and me and my children are among the luckiest one-thousandth. There are many ways to help others.'

Despite having donated more than half of Berkshire Hathaway's stock since 2006, Buffett still holds about 1/7 of the outstanding shares. According to Forbes' rich list, Buffett ranks 8th in the world, with a fortune of $133 billion.

According to the financial report, as of the end of March this year, Berkshire Hathaway held stocks worth more than $336 billion, with Apple's stocks accounting for more than 40%.

Previously, in a letter to shareholders, Buffett said he was 93 years old, felt good, but was fully aware that he was playing overtime. This raised concerns about the investment legend's physical condition, but Buffett said of his recent health, "My doctor tells me that my health is excellent, and I feel very good."
