According to the announcement from Zhitong Finance APP, Tsui Wah Holdings (01314) announced its annual results for the year ending March 31, 2024, with revenue of approximately HKD 954 million, a year-on-year increase of 12.8%; the equity shareholders of the company should have a surplus of HKD 39.087 million, a year-on-year decrease of 35.5%; basic earnings per share are HKD 0.0286, and the company intends to pay an interim dividend of HKD 0.025 per share for the second time.
The announcement stated that the increase in revenue was mainly due to the recovery of the business in Hong Kong, China and mainland China from the negative impact of COVID-19. The decrease in surplus was mainly due to the income from the sale of certain Hong Kong properties by the Group in the 2023 fiscal year. Without such income, the Group would have incurred a loss of approximately HKD 28.3 million in the 2023 fiscal year.
