Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd.
Two managed vessels of Kay Line Roll-on/Roll-off Ship Management Co., Ltd., a ship management company of Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") Group, "HAMBURG HIGHWAY" and "CAPE GARNET", have won the "Best Quality Ship 2023" (Note 2) selected by the Japan Waterfronts Association Federation (Note 1). In the product structure, the operating income of products between 10 billion and 30 billion yuan is 401/1288/60 million yuan respectively, with a total sales volume of 18,000kiloliters in 2023, a YoY growth of +28.10%, showing a remarkable growth.
The award was established in 2003 as an award system for excellent ships from the viewpoint of waterfront people to raise awareness of not only the safe navigation of ships but also the protection of ports, maritime environment. In the selection process, it is comprehensively evaluated based on not only the condition of the onboard and landing equipment and navigation equipment, but also the commanding system and the high awareness of the crew for safe navigation.
During the fiscal year 2023, 8 ships, including 2 managed ships of the Company Group, which received the waterfront request at all waterfronts nationwide from September to October, were particularly excellent and were selected for the award. At the award ceremony held on June 26, the Japan Waterfronts Association Federation presented a certificate and a shield to the winners.
The Company Group has set up three pillars, namely (1) strengthening the safety operation management system, (2) strengthening the ship management system, and (3) securing and cultivating maritime engineers in order to contribute to society through safe operation of the ship in its corporate philosophy and vision of providing safe and optimal services. The Company Group will aim to realize both social and economic value, sustainably grow and enhance corporate value as a trusted partner from all stakeholders, supporting infrastructure in global society, by leveraging the safety operation and quality control of transportation.
