Keppel Ltd. (Keppel) has been named one of the World's Most Sustainable Companies 2024 by TIME Magazine and Statista in their inaugural list of 500 top-performing companies shortlisted from over a pool of over 5,000 of the world's largest and most influential companies, assessed based on factors such as revenue, market capitalisation, and public prominence.

The World's Most Sustainable Companies 2024 ranking recognises leading companies in corporate social responsibility from over 30 countries. Companies were evaluated in more than 20 key performance indicators related to sustainability, such as compliance with international reporting standards, emissions or commitment to goals and initiatives.

Mr Ho Tong Yen, Chief Sustainability Officer of Keppel, said, "Keppel is honoured to be recognised by TIME Magazine as one of the World's Most Sustainable Companies 2024. This is a strong encouragement for us, as we continue to both run our business sustainably and make sustainability our business, through investing in and creating solutions for a sustainable future."

As a global asset manager and operator, Keppel connects capital from investors with innovative solutions to address some of the world's most pressing needs arising from climate change, the energy transition, rapid urbanisation and increasing digitalisation. Initiatives undertaken by Keppel include the inaugural import of renewable energy into Singapore, the development of the Keppel Sakra Cogen Plant, Singapore's most advanced and first hydrogen-ready power plant, sustainable urban renewal and the development of green data centres.

In addition to being included among the World's Most Sustainable Companies 2024, Keppel was also named by TIME Magazine as one of the World's Best Companies of 2023. This ranking recognises companies for strong performance in the areas of employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and sustainability.

Earlier this month, Keppel was also recognised as one of the Asia-Pacific Climate Leaders 2024 by the Financial Times and Statista. The list comprises the top 350 firms across the Asia-Pacific region that had shown the highest reduction in their greenhouse gas emission intensity between 2017 and 2022, as well as other climate-related engagements.
