1. “Shibusawa 2030 Vision”

(1) Shibusawa Eiichi's spirit and mission

Founder Shibusawa Eiichi's mentality that “only profits pursued with proper reason can be permanent and enrich society” is a way of thinking leading to current sustainability. Shibusawa Warehouse (9304), which inherits the spirit of Shibusawa Eiichi, has a corporate slogan “Permanent Mission.” It aims to contribute to the sustainable growth of society by balancing morality and the economy, enrich the future of all stakeholders, and grow as a company. Furthermore, it was positioned as a value (value) that should be shared with the spirit that “only profits pursued with proper reason can be endured and society can be enriched,” and it is a social mission (mission) that should be fulfilled to support the realization of a sustainable and prosperous society through new value creation that goes beyond logistics. Furthermore, as a target form (Vision), we aim to become a value partner that creates new value in customer business activities by shifting from efficiency pursuit to value creation.

(2) Overview of the “Shibusawa 2030 Vision”

The company formulated the “Shibusawa 2030 Vision” in 2021 in order to strengthen competitiveness, expand service areas, and promote ESG management to continuously improve corporate value in order to achieve its vision. The “Shibusawa 2030 Vision” is divided into 3 stages, and in strengthening competitiveness, we will provide “category No. 1” logistics services by deepening and pursuing strengths such as expertise in consumer goods logistics such as beverages and daily necessities, dominant areas such as the Higashi Meihan and Chiba districts, and advanced operations for multi-type small-lot cargo. In expanding the service area, in addition to refining existing services including distribution processing, we will provide outsourcing services that go beyond the framework of logistics, such as EC support, packaging material design, order acceptance, inventory arrangement planning, data processing analysis, and settlement agency. The idea is to aggressively develop the real estate business and build a smart and resilient portfolio. Meanwhile, in order to advance ESG management, the plan is to establish a work environment/corporate culture where diverse human resources feel motivated to work, and effective corporate governance in order to promote ESG management. By implementing such a vision, it is a policy to advance innovation throughout the supply chain and evolve into a partner that creates new value across customer business activities.

2. Review of the Mid-Term Management Plan 2023

In the first stage “Mid-Term Management Plan 2023,” efforts were made to establish new bases for warehouse operations, start new operations such as in-factory logistics contracts, expand existing operations and acquire new transportation in port transportation and land transportation operations as priority measures. As a result, details will be described later, but operating income and ordinary income for the fiscal year ending 2024/3 achieved the initial plan. Operating profit, which was unreached due to special factors, etc., also reached its target for the fiscal year ending 2023/3, and it can be said that there were results of working on priority policies. Since the first-stage “Mid-Term Management Plan 2023” progressed more than expected, the target for the fiscal year ending 2031/3 of the “Shibusawa 2030 Vision” was revised upward from operating revenue of 100 billion yen, operating income of 6 billion yen, and ordinary income of 6.2 billion yen, keeping operating revenue of 100 billion yen unchanged, operating income of 6.5 billion yen and ordinary income of 7 billion yen.
