Needs Well <3992> announced on the 17th that it will introduce a “scholarship subsidy system” from 2024/6.
The purpose is to reduce the financial and psychological burden on young employees who repay scholarships and to build an environment where they can concentrate on their duties.
While approximately half of university students use scholarships, there is a current situation where there are many people who feel that it is “painful” to repay scholarships after graduation. Also, the average scholarship repayment period spans a long period of 14.5 years, which affects lifestyle plans such as savings, marriage, child-rearing, and childbirth.
The company believes that by backing up scholarship repayments for young employees, it is possible to reduce financial and psychological burdens and build an environment where they can concentrate on their duties. Furthermore, it is anticipated that recruitment specific to the IT field will be strengthened by making the target audience for use of the system “new graduate hires who have majored in the information field.”
For new graduates who repay scholarships, the company will subsidize the monthly repayment amount (maximum monthly amount is 15,000 yen), with the upper limit of the total payment amount being 1,800,000 yen. The target of this system is a condition that new graduates have joined the company on or after 2025/4 and that they have majored in the information field while attending school.
