Toyota submitted nominations for all 10 directors, including Chairman Toyota Akio, at the shareholders' meeting, but some advisory firms opposed Toyota Akio's continuation as a director.
Earlier, Japanese authorities uncovered fraud in certification tests by Toyota and other automakers. Toyota announced that it will stop selling three affected models in Japan by the end of July, including Corolla Fielder, Corolla Axio, and Yaris Cross.
