Crownicorp (00727.HK) announced on June 17 that for the year ending March 31, 2024 ("this year"), the group will record a comprehensive loss attributable to shareholders of between HK $120 million and HK $140 million, while for the year ending March 31, 2023 ("last year"), the group recorded a comprehensive loss attributable to shareholders of about HK $1.07 billion.

The announcement stated that the comprehensive loss attributable to shareholders in this year is mainly due to the loss of approximately HK $100 million from the sale of subsidiary companies, compared with zero in the previous year. The financial cost is about HK $47 million, compared with HK $94 million in the previous year. The comprehensive loss in the previous year is mainly attributable to the loss from the sale of investment properties, impairment losses on properties under development, factories and equipment, respectively HK $745.9 million, HK $286.8 million and HK $110.1 million.
