Global central bank gold demand remains healthy up to 2024.

According to the World Gold Council, on June 12th, it was reported that the amount of global central bank gold purchases rebounded in April. The latest data from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and public sources showed that in April, global official gold reserves increased by a net 33 tonnes, while central bank gold purchases fell from 39 tonnes in March to 36 tonnes. Central bank gold sales also declined significantly, from 36 tonnes to only 3 tonnes. Global central bank gold demand remains healthy up to 2024. Although there was a slowdown in March, the preliminary rebound in net purchases in April may indicate that central banks have so far overcome the impact of the rebound in gold prices and continue to execute their strategic purchasing plans.
